231 GO! AND YOUTH OPPORTUNITY IN SOUTH LORAIN
In South Lorain, community partners within the 231 Go! Community Collaborative are working together to expand opportunities for youth through education, leadership development, and family engagement programs. These initiatives focus on helping students stay on track academically, explore career pathways, and build the social-emotional skills needed to succeed in school and life.

STRENGTHENING FAMILIES

- 10 parents enrolled in GED or continuing education programs
- 2 families successfully purchased homes
SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The Behind the Curtain positive behavior initiative served 271 students in grades 5-8 across Lorain City Schools. Administratiors report the program has reduced behavioral incidents by more than 15%, improving both school culture and student relationships.
EXPOSURE TO OPPORTUNITY
More than 200 youth ages 5-15 participated in the Discover You Summer Camp, where they explored leadership, career pathways, and academic enrichment. Early results show that 20-25% of participants go on to earn 10 or more college or career-technical credits in high school, indicating strong academic momentum.
