THRIVE! Southern Lorain County's mission is to build upon the local culture of Southern Lorain County to provide affordable opportunities for all to live healthier through healthy eating, active living and social/emotional support leading to reduced instances of metabolic syndrome - obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.

North Ridgeville Heart & Sole brings partners, residents, and local organizations together to improve whole-person health and wellness through collaborative planning and action across the North Ridgeville community.

With a focus on healthy eating, Heart & Sole works to ensure families have access to nutritious, affordable food by partnering with local growers to increase the availability of fresh fruits and vegetables, collaborating with the library to build culinary literacy and confidence, and supporting the addition of healthier options at community concession stands.

Through its active living efforts, Heart & Sole is making it safer and easier for people of all ages and abilities to move—whether by walking, biking, or rolling. By improving access to physical activity and removing barriers to healthy choices, North Ridgeville Heart & Sole is helping build a community where wellness is accessible, inclusive, and part of everyday life.

Keystone Empowers You (KEY) is a community-driven collaborative focused on improving whole-person health and wellness through coordinated planning and action across the Keystone Local School District community.

KEY works alongside schools, libraries, local governments, and community partners to remove barriers to healthy living and create accessible opportunities for wellness. Through its efforts, residents can borrow blood pressure cuffs from the library to monitor their health, participate in shared-use indoor walking at Keystone Elementary School and LaGrange Village Hall, and enjoy outdoor movement options like walking paths at Penfield Recreational Park.

KEY also supports healthy nutrition and family engagement through fresh food pick-ups and interactive initiatives like the Storybook Stroll at LaGrange Community Park which brings movement, literacy, and connection together in one shared space.
