EVERY BODY BELONGS.

United We Sweat, a free fitness class initiative of United Way of Greater Lorain County, is growing into something truly special. After a recent rebrand and a renewed effort to share the story of the initiative, partners are helping bring the vision to life. At its heart, United We Sweat is simple: everyone deserves the opportunity to move, feel good, and take care of themselves. Whether someone has a gym membership, reliable transportation, or years of experience with fitness or none of those things, there should be a place for them. Today, an average of more than 850 people participate in United We Sweat classes each month, showing just how much our community values accessible opportunities to care for their physical and mental well-being.

One of the most meaningful parts of United We Sweat is the people behind the classes. Through a partnership with Lorain County Community College and SunDog Yoga & Wellness Studio, new and aspiring instructors are being given the chance to grow their confidence and find their voice as teachers. Through the cohort experience, instructors learn, practice, encourage one another, and ultimately teach five free classes with the community. It is a beautiful exchange for new instructors to gain experience and confidence, while community members gain new opportunities to move, connect, and care for their physical and mental well-being.

United We Sweat is about more than exercise. It is about creating opportunities, building confidence, welcoming people as they are, and reminding our community that wellness belongs to everyone. Every class, every instructor, and every person who walks through the door is part of something bigger: a healthier, more connected Lorain County where EVERY BODY has a place to sweat, grow, and feel well!
