SOMETIMES, SHOWING CARE STARTS WITH SHOWING UP
This past week, our own Cassandra and Maya from the Community Impact team joined up with partners from across Lorain County at the annual Homeless Stand Down at Sacred Heart. Together, they welcomed neighbors experiencing homelessness and helped connect them with essential supplies, resources, and support.
The event offers people living outdoors access to cold-weather gear, hygiene items, haircuts, shoes, and more. As temperatures drop, these resources can make a meangingful difference for our neighbors facing the daily challenges of living without stable housing.
The Stand Down also creates an opportunity for connection, conversation, and questions. Bringing all of these partners together in one place makes it easier for neighbors to access support and learn about available services.
We're so grateful to everyone who contributed their time, supplies, and heart to make this year's event a success. Together we're helping ensure our neighbors feel seen, welcomed, and supported!
