Trunk-Or-Treat Offers Fun & Free Resources to Families

Over 200 local families celebrated Halloween in style at the first annual Rising Titans 'Trunk-Or-Treat' event on Saturday, October 27th at El Centro de Servicios Sociales in Lorain. Kids dressed in their holiday best were able to trick-or-treat and collect candy by stopping at automotive stations representing a handful of local organizations, including United Way of Greater Lorian County, Lorain County Public Health and the Lorain Public Library System.

Families were additionally able to walk away with information on free resources available in the community, and the first 75 kids in attendance were given fresh apples and mini pumpkins as a special holiday treat.

The day also featured Pre-K and Kindergarten registration as well as all of the free resources that Rising Titans offers to Lorain families with children ages 0-5.

Rising Titans is a Community Collaborative focused on improving kindergarten readiness for children in Lorain through four identified pillars of early learning success including parent engagement, family empowerment, healthy children, and resources for providers. Learn more on this Community Collaborative and our others here.
