Community of Volunteers Join to Build Wheelchair Ramp for Local Woman

Made possible by helping hands from the Ross Builders Company, Invacare Corporation and Home Depot, a local woman with limited mobility is now able to get in and out of her home.

Architects, engineers, suppliers, and volunteers were able to collectively come together, applying their respective areas of expertise, to successfully address one instance of a common need in our community. This initiative to provide an individual in need with the essential, and otherwise unattainable, capability for mobility proves that collaboration and volunteerism are powerful forces for change locally.

Lorain County Volunteer Connection offers an easy and accessible way to volunteer throughout the county. Learn more on volunteering and other ways to get involved here.
