United Way of Greater Lorain County voluntarily complies with independent rating services to assure that UWGLC adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way.

A BBB accredited charity is an organization that meets all 20 of the BBB Standards for Charity Accountability based on a review of information and materials provided by the organization. There is no charge to the charity for the evaluation completed by the BBB. Charities are not legally required to submit information and materials to the BBB for evaluation.

Charity Navigator highlights the fine work of efficient, ethical and open charities. Charity Navigator’s goal is to provide donors with essential information needed to give them greater confidence in the charitable choices they make.

The United Way Worldwide Business Performance Index is the organizing framework for United Ways in the U.S.A. network. The Matrix organizes United Ways based on their community profile – factors like corporate presence, population size and staff size – as well as performance executing on the United Way business model.
